Lamplugh WI

Where we meet:

WI Hall, Lamplugh

When we meet:

2nd Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm

About Us:

We have an educational and interesting programme to cater for all tastes.  We also hold various fundraising events towards our hall upkeep and socialise with other local WIs.

As part of our contribution to the "Love your Libraries" campaign in February, Lamplugh WI organised an open day at our nearest library at Frizington involving local schoolchildren, local dignitaries and some of our WI members.  Children from both village schools came to the library in small groups where library staff, WI members, the Mayor of Copeland, John Jackson, and the MP for Copeland, Jamie Reed, read stories to them.  It was a most enjoyable morning involving over 150 children and 60-70 members of the public.  Much appreciated refreshments were provided and served by WI members.
